This is one of East Africa's best safari destinations. More underdeveloped then Kenya, there are vast herds of game found both in the National Parks and out on the Conservation areas. The plains of the Serengeti are the site of the annual wildebeest migration often seen in documentaries and wildlife specials. Safari here never disappoints! Mission needs: Here, as in much of Africa, the situation is desperate. Every sort of assistance is needed. Although much work is being done it just never seems to be enough. A small bit of assistance goes a long way and can really make a difference in a lot of peoples lives.

Cost includes:

  • English speaking Drivercumguide, Specialised in Wildlife with over 300 successful safaris, excellent performances, very friendly and knowledgable
  • All National Park Entrance fee and Olduvai gorge fees; indicated seperately
  • 4WD safari built vehicle;
  • Guaranteed window seat whilst on game drives;
  • 3 meals a day (breakfast, lunch or lunch boxes, dinner ), whilst on safari
  • Access to open roof(s) to be able to stand in vehicle, whilst on game drives
  • Accomodation in lodges (options on request) with private bathroom facilities;

  • Camping fees on public campsite with public shower and toilet(s); Serengeti and Ngorongoro Campsite are in the Park.
Camp equipment includes
  • 2 person pup-tent ( small tent )

  • Cutlury and Crockery;
  • All these items are packed in the same safari vehicle.
  • In Serengeti - water is sometime limited to cooking only.

ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival Arusha, transfer to the lodge. Dinner and overnight at Arusha - HB.
Day 2: Depart at 2PM to Tarangire or Lake Manyara National Park about 2hours drive, continue game drive in the Park until late afternoon. dinner and overnight at Manyara or Tarangire Lodge - HB. NOTE: Manyara park will be visited instead of Tarangire, during December to June.
Day 3: After breakfast, drive to Serengeti National Park via Olduvai Gorge (4hour drive), continue game drive in Serengeti, lunch or picnic lunch. A further PM game drive in Serengeti Park, dinner and overnight at Serengeti Lodge - FB
Day 4-5: AM and PM game drive of Serengeti National Park ( lunch or Packed lunch as game drives times will depend on where the animals are ). late afternoon return to the lodge. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Lodge. - FB
Day 6: AM drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area ( 3hour drive), continue descent onto the crater floor for the rest of the day exploring the wildlife, packed lunch at a campsite late afternoon when we ascend to the crater rim for dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Lodge - FB.
Day 7: AM do a short walk on the highlands of Ngorongoro with a armed ranger and masai giude, splendid views of the landscape and culture, packed lunch and later descent onto the crater floor for the rest of the day exploring the wildlife and late afternoon when we ascend to the crater rim for dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Lodge - FB
Day 8: After breakfast, drive back to Arusha, arriving about noon time. End of Tour.
